For so many months we have thought about her, and remembered the good times; the kind words; the witty remarks and the strength that was the essence of Joel.
The marriage that she shared with Aaron was a testament to the words, "Love of a lifetime" and "True Love". This blog is created in her memory.

Im glad to have this spot where I can post my thoughts when I'm thinking about Joel and need to talk to her. She was my best friend and I miss her terribly. I guess other friends can post their thoughts and we can talk to each other and share memories of her.

We are thinking about playing Pokeno again since Doris is coming back but it won't be the same without Joel. I think I'll play her card so she'll be with us.
Today I found photos taken when we went to Tennessee for Joel's birthday in 2006. It was great looking at them and reminiscing. It made me really miss her all over again.
I like the idea of you all playing Pokeno and playing Joel's cards for her. She would love that. There are so many times when I think to call her about something. I guess we each "call" her in our own way.
We played pokeno Sunday and I played Joel's card as well as my own. I won a little but don't know which card actually won or if both of them won equally. We had a great time and are looking forward to playing again. I will play Joel's card each time so that she is in the game with us.
Remembering Joel, the candle reminds me of her smile, the loving warmth of her home and family, the wonderful times just hanging out in her kitchen. She is a bright spirit!
